Johnny Morris reads the Railway Stories
Johnny Morris told the Railway Stories from books 1 to 8, beginning
the series of audio books, and giving the Reverend Awdry's characters a voice for the first time. Johnny also provided
his own range of sound effects to accentuate his recordings and to put his own mark on the stories as he recants the early
works.

Willie Rushton reads the Railway Stories
Later, the record company producing the Railway Story
recordings wished to do more - but Johnny Morris wasn't available to do them. Instead, they turned to the jolly voice
of Willie Rushton to further the collection of the Reverend Awdry's stories, which he did with great enthusiasm, telling the
remaining stories from Book 9 to 26.

Ted Robbins reads the Railway Stories
After a hiatus of around ten years, recording of the Railway Stories
resumed again with Christopher Awdry's books being told for audio cassette. This time around, Ted Robbins took the helm
and recorded from Book 27 to 38 for a modern day audience in the mid 1990s, aimed at a similar age group to the Thomas TV
series.
